Initiated from an early age by an advertising father with whom he regularly browses the fleas, he became aware of the existence of objects and began research on ornamentation. Initiated from an early age by an advertising father with whom he regularly browses the fleas, he became aware of the existence of objects and began research on ornamentation. He met Olivier Gagnère in 1991 and learned the subjects, rigour, precision and simplicity from him. In 1995, he designed his first collection of ceramics, furniture and lighting. Vincent Collin works with bronze, forged or beaten metal, in a desire to purify the lines. The idea of form is enhanced by the absence of any superfluous decoration: handmade finishes and patinas give each object that extra soul that tends to make it "unique" and brings it closer to the object-sculpture. His ceramic vases combine roundness and offset in a search for shapes that defy the laws of balance.
